Mezcalero Rey Arellanes crafts this ancestral espadín for Casa Tradición Chagoya, from Santa Catarina Minas in Ocotlán, Oaxaca. This espadín follows a traditional cooking process in an underground conical oven with volcanic rock. The agave is ground manually with a mallet, and fermentation occurs in sabino wood vats. Finally, a slow double distillation in clay pots yields an extraordinary mezcal with great complexity and one of the highest quality standards on the market.
Purchase process (private imports)
1. Choose your product from our online store;
2. Before paying, select a participating SAQ branch for delivery (if you want to pick up the bottle at a branch);
3. Pay the agency fees directly on our website;
4. Pick up and pay for the order at the chosen SAQ branch according to the instructions in the email you will receive.
Estimated timeframe: approximately 1 to 2 weeks.
The selected branch will notify you by email when the order is ready for pickup.

All products can be picked up directly from our offices within 48 business hours. An email will be sent to you as soon as your order is ready for pickup.

Pickup at SAQ
If you wish to pick up your order at an SAQ branch, select your preferred branch on the shopping cart page before proceeding to payment. Then, pay the agency fees directly on our website.
When your order is ready, the selected SAQ branch will send you an email inviting you to pick it up and pay for the products. Please allow approximately one to two weeks before receiving this notification.
